Merapi's Eruption Affect Flight Safety

Posted by Hotel Manager on November 6, 2010 at 6:50 AM

With the continuous Merapi's eruption recently, flight from and to Yogyakarta International Airport - Adisucipto was temporarily closed following to the warning issued by government authority on Nov 6, 2010.

This flight safety warning has also impacted few other flight destinations within the country, especially where the flight route will pass sky above the surounding of the mountain.

Few cancellations from Bandung to Bali have also took place following to this safety and security warning.

However despite of the recent condition, overall tourism safety and security in most place in Indonesia including Yogyakarta remain in good condition.

Let's PRAY for INDONESIA, so that this natural disasster may go away and everything back to normal.

According to government authority and airport authority of Adisucipto - Yogyakarta International Airport has now been reopened for arrivals and departures. However despite of this announcement, several international flight carriers still choose to cancel their flights to Indonesia particularly Sukarno Hatta International Airport.
